CAMAS, WA – Today, Sam Reed, former Washington Secretary of State, endorsed Leslie Lewallen for WA-03. The announcement comes after four days of endorsement announcements from the Lewallen camp.

“Having dedicated over four decades to elections in Washington State, I feel compelled to share a vital insight. In the past two decades, not one rematch for federal or statewide office in our state has resulted in a flipped outcome. This pattern emphasizes the importance of choosing candidates who resonate with the evolving needs of our communities. In 2022, despite our traditionally Republican-leaning 3rd Congressional District, we witnessed a Democratic victory. Joe Kent, an ill-suited candidate, could not sway voters. History warns us that another rematch with Kent would yield the same result. That’s why I wholeheartedly endorse Leslie Lewallen for Congress in Washington’s 3rd Congressional District. Leslie brings a “can do” attitude, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to problem-solving. She understands the concerns of our residents, from inflation to border security to homelessness.” said Reed in a letter to the editor published yesterday. 

Voters need a candidate that they know can beat Marie Gluesenkamp Perez and Leslie Lewallen is that candidate. 

“I am incredibly honored to receive this endorsement from Sam Reed. His career of improving Washington’s election systems and advocating for a transparent process has shown how to serve the people of Washington state with integrity,” said Lewallen. “Sam Reed’s trust in me along with the growing list of supporters affirm what we already know, I am the only candidate to unseat Marie Gluesenkamp Perez and we will send her back to Portland in 2024.”

This endorsement announcement is the fifth in two weeks of upcoming releases highlighting the diverse and growing support for Leslie Lewallen’s campaign. While Marie Gluesenkamp Perez actively votes against the interests of WA-03 constituents, Leslie Lewallen will fight to show voters that there is a better path forward.

CAMAS, WA – This week, Tiffany Smiley, Chair of Endeavor PAC and former candidate for U.S. Senate in Washington state, endorsed Leslie Lewallen for WA-03. The announcement comes after Smiley spoke at Lewallen’s campaign kick off event in Downtown Camas on Saturday. 

“I’m proud to endorse Leslie Lewallen for Washington’s third district. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez has shown voters that she doesn’t care about their safety, kid’s education, or their paychecks. Leslie will always advocate for Washington State first and she is the only one who will be able to beat Perez next November. Let’s take back the third,” said Tiffany Smiley. 

Smiley’s endorsement came with a campaign promise to support Lewallen every step of the way to bring true conservative leadership back to Southwest Washington. Lewallen’s campaign has emphasized the need for parent’s voices in schools, increased public safety resources, and relief for Washington families dealing with record high prices.

CAMAS, WA – Today, Rob McKenna, former Attorney General of Washington, has officially announced his endorsement of Leslie Lewallen for Congress. McKenna, a well-respected figure in Washington state politics, brings his extensive legal expertise and leadership experience in support of Lewallen’s campaign for Congress.

Rob McKenna, known for his dedication to upholding the law, stated, “I am proud to endorse Leslie Lewallen for Congress. Rob McKenna is a former Attorney General of Washington. He was first elected in 2004, won re-election in 2008, and was the Republican nominee for Governor in 2012. Now in private practice, McKenna served for 3 years as Chairman of the Republican Attorney Generals Association and was President of the National Association of Attorneys General.

I have been proud to stand alongside her to advocate for more safety for our children, lower costs for our community, and transportation alternatives for our commuters. Southwest Washington needs the strongest fighter to represent us in Congress, and I am confident that Leslie is that fighter,” said Senescu. 

As Camas City Councilors, Senescu and Lewallen have worked to advocate for the people of Southwest Washington and have repeatedly stood against higher costs of living and attempts to reduce public safety presence in schools.
